Serge HoogendoornSerge Hoogendoorn is a Distinguished Professor of Smart Urban Mobility in the Transport & Planning Department at Delft University of Technology (Netherlands). He is also an Honorary Professor in the School of Transportation at South East University (hina), and holds a distinguished research fellow position at the Research Institute of Highway (China). He is a partner in the Amsterdam Institute of Advanced Metropolitan Solutions, and a staff member of the TRAIL Research School on Transport and Logistics at DUT. His current research features smart urban mobility, with focal areas such as theory, modelling, and simulation of traffic and transportation networks, including cars, pedestrian, cyclists and novel public transport services, development of methods for integrated management of these networks, and impact of uncertainty of travel behaviour and network operations.
