Selland EricEric Selland has been translating Modernist and contemporary Japanese poets for nearly forty years, with works appearing in a variety of journals and anthologies. He has also published articles on Japanese Modernist poetry and translation theory. Hislatest collection of poems is Object States (Theenk Books, 2018). Other recent books are Arc Tangent (Isobar Press, 2013), and Beethoven's Dream (Isobar Press, 2015). Eric has also translated a number of contemporary novels, including The Guest Cat, by Takashi Hiraide, published by New Directions in the US and Picador in the UK, which was on both the New York Times and the UK Sunday Times bestseller lists in 2014.
