Scott TurickScott Turick lives in Florida with his wife and their dog. Their wonderful children don't live too far away, which makes him and his wife very happy. Scott's love of science fiction was etched into his DNA at a young age and started with the Apollo mssions. The idea of flying into space fueled his own flights of fancy. Watching the skies and imagining life elsewhere in the universe became a habit. The works of Isaac Asimov and Frank Herbert, among many, many other sci-fi authors, have been lifelong inspirations. Scott was born in New York City but doesn't remember much about living there, since he was forcibly taken to Long Island when he was just a few months old. He lived in Port Jefferson Station until he was ten, when he was again moved without his consent, this time to Florida. He grew up in Miami. Most of the important things in his life happened there, so much good came out of the relocation. He fell in love there and married there. His children were born there, making them the rarest of breeds: Florida Natives. Scott is a career journalist who has won awards for his writing and newspaper page design. Scott loves being with his family, but also likes to read and has been known to accidentally swat tennis balls over the fence at the public courts. He was a baseball player in his youth and is a baseball fan always. Time at the beach, either walking or going in the water to old-man bodysurf, is also high on the list of things he enjoys. He is working on completing an alternate-history novel and is writing more short stories. Read More Read Less
