As a Little Leaguer in Newton, Massachusetts, he went door-to-door for the charity, and he later covered Jimmy's momentous return for Sports Illustrated. Having written ad contributed to numerous books on baseball and other sports, he is now a publications editor-writer at Dana-Farber.
