Satya MisraSatya Misra (b.1952) shot to fame in early seventies of last century as a pioneer of new wave fiction in Odia. His first volume of short stories Bahubachan was published in 1973 after which he disappeared from the literary scene which intrigued his raders . After a prolonged hibernation, he resurrected himself in 2013 and recaptured the slot vacated by him earlier. His second volume of stories Michha Raastara Sata was published in December 2019. His stories are firmly rooted in daily lives of average individuals, often delving into their psyche without appearing intrusive. Some of his stories have been translated into other Indian languages.
