Paliwal obtained his Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from JSS, College of Pharmacy, Ooty, Master's degree in Medicinal & Pharmaceutical Chemistry from RGPV, Bhopal and PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Banasthali University, Rajastan. Presently he is Professor and Head, Department of Pharmacy, Banasthali University, Rajasthan. He has published more than 100 research papers in International/National journals of repute. One of his most significant and recent publications is in Nature-Scientific Reports (September 2015). He has obtained research projects worth `150 Lacs from Indian Council of Medical Research, DST-CURIE, Centre of Excellence for Training and Research in Frontier Areas of Science and Technology (FAST). He has been bestowed with "Award for excellence in research" by European Institute of Scientific Research, Netherlands. More than ten research scholars have been awarded PhD degree under his direct supervision. He has delivered many key note Lectures in International/National Conferences.
