Sarat Kumar SwainProf. Sarat Kumar Swain is a Professor of Chemistry at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla, Sambalpur, India, since 2011. Before joining VSSUT, he worked at North Odisha University (now renamed as Sriram Chandra Bhaanja Deo Univrsity), as Associate Professor, and was formerly Dean (Academic Affairs), Dean (PG Studies & Research), and Head of the Department of Chemistry at VSSUT. He was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Polymer Engineering, University of Akron, Akron, OH, USA after receiving his Doctoral degree from Utkal University, and also worked as a visiting researcher at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Kolkata, and Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced and Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru. Prof. Swain has more than 25 years of experience in teaching and research, and his interests include hybrid nanomaterials, advanced materials, and applications in environmental remediation and decarbonization.
