Melland grew up in the small town of Altoona, Wisconsin and went to school for Creative Writing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Se graduated Summa Cum Laude from ASU with a degree in Mass Communications. She started her own media company, Ripe Melland Media, in 2018.Melland, now, resides in Los Angeles, California, where she continuously researches women's issues, relationship faux pas, and dating mishaps.
