Samuel BerthetSamuel Berthet is a historian. He was the research coordinator of two European educational projects on South Asia-Europe maritime history, before spending five years in Chittagong (Bangladesh) investigating the interface between land, river, estuary nd sea as well as shipbuilding in the Northern Bay of Bengal. He has taught history and anthropology in various universities including Visva-Bharati, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Shiv Nadar University. He curated a number of exhibitions including 'Rajas, Nawabs and Firangees: Treasures from the French and Indian Archives (1750-1850)' in collaboration with the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and the National Museum in Delhi.
