Samir DarwishSamir is a poet of the '80s' generation in Egypt and has published 17 poetry books and 2 novels. He has experience in writing literary criticism, political articles and articles on renewing the religious discourse. He has been active for 30 years in oth the Egyptian and Arab literary and cultural life through publishing his works in periodicals and newspapers. Amongst his cultural posts, he has been the editor-in-chief of Al-Thaqafa Al-Jadida, a magazine published by the Ministry of Culture in Egypt. He is also the Director General of the General Union of Arab Writers. He has participated in several literary conferences in Egypt and abroad. His poems have been translated into English, French, Portuguese, Hindi, and German. His works were dealt with in advanced university studies and theses.
