Sam GallifordSam Galliford is a scientist who has worked in hospitals and medical schools in the UK and Australia, in the fields of child and maternal health. Growing up in Teesside, he learned a love of story-telling from a grandfather who told him rollicking taes of adventurers, navigators and explorers from the days of history. Later, when a work colleague described one of his scientific offerings as 'fiction', he recalled his story-telling roots and began writing his own short stories.
