Sally CissnaSally Cissna's love of history stems from her father who was a history teacher and took her to many of the historical sites in the east as she grew up. She remembers fondly the big Olds 88 swerving off the road to visit a historical marker along the ay. While these books are about her mother's family, she writes in the historical narrative genre. Before she started this series, The Woodstock Tales, she knew almost nothing of her maternal grandparents and their family. Now they have shown themselves in the writing and become beloved.
