Sahadev SahooSahadev Sahoo is a bilingual writer and columnist. Born in 1959 in the village, Bhuluka, Jajpur district he completed his M.A. (Utkal) and M. Phil (Kurukshetra) in History and joined a college. After teaching about three years he left the college andjoined Odisha Finance Service. Sahadev Sahoo has published so far thirteen story collections and six novels in Odia and a novel in English (Concubine) to critical acclaim. He also writes features and essays in different Odia and English newspapers. Besides, he writes a blog which can be accessed at sahadevsworld.blogspot.com. He has received many awards and honours which include Bishuba Jhankar Galpa Samman, Fakir Mohan Upanayas Samman, Abani Baral Sahitya Samman, Akhil Katha Samman, Punannaba Galpa Samman, Subrat Smaraki Galpa Puraskar (Gangadhar Foundation), etc. He was associated in implementing VAT and GST in the state.
