Janakarajan is Professorial Consultant at Madras Institute of Development Studies (MIDS) and Professorial Research Associate, Centre for Water and Development, SOAS, University of London. He was a Visiting Professor at the Queen Eizabeth House, University of Oxford. He specializes in the areas of water, environment and climate change. He has authored/co-authored/edited several books and published many articles in national and international journals.
