S G ByrdSally Byrd grew up in Macon, Georgia, on the Mercer University campus, which she considered her backyard. Graduating from Duke University with a double major in English and Religion, she drove a bookmobile in the beautiful hills of West Virginia for year. Then she worked in an office part-time, while learning to live with Sjogren's syndrome. Later she married and with her husband, Bob, raised three children in Durham, North Carolina-Stephen, Sarah, and Elizabeth. Making up fantasy stories has always been Sally's gift and delight. Benk and the Ugly Princess is the third and last of the Montaland series. Captives of the Fern Queen was the first. Fernpeople was the second. Sally believes Christian fantasy has a place in today's world with all its troubles. The Montaland books are not only fun, but realistic in that they point to a very real God who is loving and powerful and who desires people to know Him. Read More Read Less
