THE TRUE KEEPS CALM BIDING ITS STORY (Ahsahta Press, 2008) was awarded the Poetry Society of America's DiCastagnola Award (chosen by Susan Howe), the Sawtooth Poetry Prize (chosen by Petr Gizzi) and was then selected by Rae Armantrout, Claudia Rankine, and Bruce Smith for the Academy of American Poet's James Laughlin Award. Her previous book WHETHERING (Center for Literary Publishing, 2004) won the Colorado Prize for Poetry, selected by Forrest Gander.
