Ruben FigueroaRUBEN FIGUEROA was first employed at age 17 as a commercial artist designing pat-terns for a silk screen company. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1948. During his tour of duty in Formosa from 1957 to 1961, he studied Judo, Karate, and Self-dfense under the direction of Professor Ching-nan Lee. He won the All-American Judo Kuy competition in 1959 and was promoted from first- to second-degree blackbelt in 1961.
