Roy GouldRoy Gould spent five years as assistant stage manager on three West End musicals before joining the BBC and working for TV comedy legend David Croft OBE (creator of Dad's Army; Hi de Hi; Allo Allo, etc.) as a lowly second assistant director before Daid Croft promoted him to become the director for his shows. On leaving the BBC, he formed his own production company and, as producer, won two Royal Television Society Awards. Having always wanted to write, he decided to stop making excuses and to sit down and get on with it. As well as The Secrets of a Small English Village, he has now written two stage plays and full-length film screenplays, as well as being halfway into his next novel.
