Rowena HillRowena Hill was born in England in 1938, and went to school in New Zealand. She attended universities in New Zealand, Italy and India (University of Mysore). She taught English Literature at the Universidad de Los Andes in Mérida, Venezuela, where sh has lived for forty-eight years. She has published six books of poems in Spanish: Celebraciones, Ida y Vuelta, Legado de Sombras, No es tarde para alabar, Planta baja del cerebro/ Ground Floor of the Brain (bilingual), Marea tardía/ Late Tide (bilingual), and the bilingual selected poems Rastrojos (Alliteration, Miami, 2023) as well as poems, essays and translations in periodicals in Venezuela, Colombia, India, USA, and online. She has translated into English some of Venezuela's best-known poets, including Rafael Cadenas, Eugenio Montejo, and Yolanda Pantin. Read More Read Less
