Following his graduation magna cum laude in biology from Harvard College, he earned his MD at Yale University School of Medicine an completed his internship in general surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. He trained in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as well as Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
