Rosemary SquireDame Rosemary Squire was a founder of the Women's Playhouse Trust in the 80s, a landmark theatre production company that produced large-scale work by and with women. In 1992, Rosemary co-founded and ran for its first 25 years, the world's largest andmost successful live theatre business - the Ambassador Theatre Group. Her latest venture is Trafalgar Entertainment, a premium international live entertainment business. In 2014, she made history as the first woman to be named EY UK Entrepreneur of the Year. She was a National Member of the Arts Council England Board for ten years, Joint Chairman of The Hall for Cornwall in Truro and is currently Chairman of Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. As President of the Society of London Theatre, Rosemary became the second only female President in the organisation's history. In 2007 Rosemary was awarded an OBE for Services to Theatre and in 2018 received a Damehood for Services to Theatre and Philanthropy. She has been awarded Honorary Doctorates from Southampton University and De Montfort University in recognition of her achievements as a theatre entrepreneur. Read More Read Less
