Rosalie Cushman

Rosalie CushmanRosalie Cushman attended Boston University and Iowa State University, earning a bachelor's degree in English and Political Science. She has been a freelance writer since 2008, authoring two memoirs, The Man Confused By God and One Grasshopper's Journy. She has also written numerous articles for Fine Magazine, www.values.com, and penned a biography of Margaret Sloss for Iowa State. An essayist at heart, Cushman writes for her own website www.rosaliecushman.com on a wide range of topics, some humorous but more often addressing serious issues of the day. Her favorite topics involve personal or spiritual issues. Prior to developing a writing career, Cushman enjoyed twenty years in PR and Marketing for a public library and for Borders Books & Music where she presented A-list author events. Branching out on her own, she produced several live programs with the late Steve Allen for Drake University, developed and produced Dames From Ames for Public Television in Iowa with Pulitzer Prize winner Jane Smiley, Poet Laureate of Iowa Mary Swander, and others. After confronting a decade long health issue that escalated, she made some significant life changes, devoting full attention to her own work and fostering a more contemplative lifestyle. She currently enjoys small town living, the thud of fruit as it hits the ground, cows and chickens and, oh yes, the crisp clean air of Northern California where she resides. Read More Read Less
