Rosa ParksRosa Parks (1913-2005) devoted herself to the nonviolent pursuit of human rights, especially young people's rights, since refusing to give up her seat on a Montgomery, Alabama bus to a white man. She was born in Tuskegee, Alabama in 1913 and mrried Raymond Parks in 1932. Two years after the Montgomery bus boycott, in 1957, she moved to Detroit, Michigan.
