Ronna Quimby Huckaby

Ronna Quimby HuckabyShe lived an idyllic life in small-town Texas, and Ronna Quimby Huckaby never lacked for love. She lived a life that could have been a 1950s television show. Bowie, Texas, much like Mayberry and a mother reminiscent of June Cleaver, was the setting fr Ronna's first eighteen years. Ronna grew up knowing she was adopted but always had the thought in the back of her mind as to why she was given up for adoption and who were her birth parents. Despite the doubts and thoughts, she lived a happy and normal life. She was popular in school, active in her community, and respected by her peers. Following graduation from high school, Ronna earned a bachelor's degree and a Master of Education in counseling from the University of North Texas. She is a licensed professional counselor and board-approved counselor supervisor. Ronna has worked in the nonprofit field for 32 years, primarily working in the fields of domestic violence, homelessness, substance abuse, and poverty alleviation. Since 2013, Ronna has been the Chief Service Officer and VP of Operations at Catholic Charities Fort Worth. She serves on several local boards and is a member of the Tarrant County Women's Policy Forum. She currently lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with her husband Billy, three cats-Sonny, Raymond, and Dottie, and one dog, Beau. She loves spending time with her family and her two precious granddaughters, Presley, and Madilyn. Read More Read Less
