Whe it doesn't leave me alone, I decide to write the idea down, and then a few more words to see where it takes me. I have a few unfinished manuscripts, which bothered me until I learned it affected Mark Twain. If we don't always finish conversations, it's only normal a story might remain unfinished. A book is, after all, one long conversation of internal and external dialogue. I write short stories and the other, longer variety.
