Whether I was working for a large corporation or my small businesses, sales were the part that I enjoyed the most. I have reinvented myself many times and have embraced te challenges of learning new businesses and the greatest challenge: starting my own companies. I love to teach the Principles outlined in this book. I love sports, especially golf, and I have accomplished the goal of playing golf in all fifty states. I am a big fan of my alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and follow and root for the Tar Heels. I am also a fan of our local pro teams, the Charlotte Hornets and the Carolina Panthers. I live with my wife, Ann, in Indian Land, South Carolina, but I can almost see my native North Carolina from my front door.
