Ron BerubeRon Berube was born in Maine and raised on a series of military bases, and educated at Fordham University and the University of Virginia, but first and most formatively at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC. He has worked as a New York Cit cab driver, a metal foundry laborer, an insurance adjuster, and for thirty-five years as a Psychiatric Nurse. He published three short stories in the late 1970s, and has been writing poetry seriously since he retired about seven years ago. The Tearing Sound is his first collection.
