Roberto De HaroRoberto de Haro is a retired professor and university senior administrator. He has written thirteen novels, several which have received literary awards. He likes to write historical fiction, novels about World War I and II, particularly stories aboutfighter pilots, and detective stories that involve international intrigue. Haro is an avid walker, likes to travel, especially to Europe and the Mediterranean and is always reading and looking for new story ideas for his books. His detective stories include a principal character called Dale Lipinski. Many of his readers are strong fans of the three stories in which Lipinski appears. Haro is Mexican American, was born into a farmworker family and raised by a single parent. He is multilingual, was a scholar-activist during his faculty career and worked for major research universities in New York, Maryland and California.
