Robert ProudfootRobert Proudfoot was born and raised in Edmonton, but enjoyed cross-cultural experiences in Africa when, duringthe early 1970s, he completed high-school and attended university in Lusaka, Zambia, and worked as an agro-forester in Nigeria from 1988 to1991. Robert channeled his interests in natural sciences, growing plants, beautiful synergies of nature and the Great Creator, social and environmental justice, and sports participation intoshort stories and essays included in his 2019 book Enduring Art, Active Faith - 3 Generations Create!. He followed in 2020 with A Playful Policeman Meets the Citizen-making Teacher, a biography of his grandparents George and Olive MacDonald, published by PageMaster Publication Services Inc.; and then a novel Come By Here My Lord - Seen in a Mirror Dimly about a young expatriate man coming of age and building friendships across ethnic and cultural barriers in southern Africa during the turbulent 1970s.
