At dinner time he would sometimes propose the first line of a rhyming verse and invite his two children, one after the other, to develop it.. This was how Robert began first to thinkin rhymed couplets and later to write in the spirit of America's most famous poet of light verse for adults. Robert was born in London and currently lives with his wife, Martha, in Washington, DC. Together, they wrote Telling Tales, a modern version of the Canterbury Tales.
