Robert Fitzroy
Robert Fitzroy (1805-1865) was a British naval officer and meteorologist known for his pioneering work in weather forecasting. He served as the captain of HMS Beagle during Charles Darwin's famous voyage and later established the first storm warnig system. Fitzroy's contributions to meteorology, including the development of the barometer as a forecasting tool, have had a lasting impact on weather science.
