Robert Bluford JrNamed the Virginian of the Year? in 2011 by the Virginia Press Association, Robert Bluford served as a B-24 bomber pilot in World War II before he became an active Presbyterian minister. He has devoted much of his time since 1989 to the perseverationof the historic Polegreen Church in Hanover County, in addition to numerous historical preservation efforts throughout the state.
