Schrab is a two-time Emmy award-winning writer and an accomplished director. Known for his visual style and comedic take on the horror and sci-fi genes, his work has been seen on Rick and Morty (Adult Swim), Creepshow (AMC/Shudder), and Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return (Netflix).

Schrab began his storytelling career when he wrote, illustrated, and published the comic book, SCUD: THE DISPOSABLE ASSASSIN. His action-packed series got the attention of Hollywood, which led him and then partner, Dan Harmon, to write the feature film Monster House (SONY), and the legendary unaired pilot Heat Vision & Jack (FOX), directed by Ben Stiller. Schrab branched out as a director, working on groundbreaking television such as The Sarah Silverman Program, Workaholics (Comedy Central) Community, Parks & Rec (NBC) and Creepshow (AMC/Shudder).

Schrab and Harmon joined forces again in 2009, collaborating with Hugh Jackman on the opening for the 81st Academy Awards which led to him receiving his first Emmy. In 2020, Schrab received a second Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program co-executive producing Adult Swim's Rick and Morty series.
