Rick McEachernGARY COLE was born in 1941 in Bowmanville, Ontario. He was a long time local barber in Bowmanville and is now retired. He is a lifetime resident of Bowmanville Beach and has authored another book about the area entitled A Few Acres of Sand. RICK MCEAHERN was born in 1946 in Oshawa, Ontario, and is retired from General Motors of Canada. Rick is a local historian and volunteer, and was presented with a community service medal in 2020.
