Rick (boots) GordonI was born and raised in the mid-west. I've had a full life of many and varied experiences from serving eight years in the US Navy to teaching in high schools, Junior College and working on the railroad. Before retiring in 1994, I had accumulated sevnty five years of credited work. My retirement gave me an abundance of free time and independence allowing me to focus on the arts I'm so fond of; painting, photography and writing. Being a workaholic by nature and a fishing bum by choice who likes to travel and fish, I found combining the two easy. I've written many articles and a good number have been published. Most articles involved a fishing situation of one kind or another. My muskie fishing book, Legend of Loon Lake, was released the summer of 2006 and I've written another book on my fishing adventures fishing throughout the country. I've been fishing for almost seventy years and have caught thousands upon thousands of fish. Reflecting on my many experiences and making sense of the challenges I've faced over the years has prepared me to adjust to the uncertainties of the present and future; and to provide me a unique perspective as a platform for presenting my personal experiences.
