Richard WeightRICHARD WEIGHT is a writer and broadcaster based in London. He is the author of 'We Are The Modernists! The Rise and Reign of British Youth Culture Since 1950' (2009) and 'Patriots: National Identity in Britain 1940-2000' (2002), which was shortliste for the 2003 Orwell Prize for political writing. He was principal researcher and a co-author of Edward Heath's autobiography 'The Course of My Life' (1998) and the co-editor of'The Right To Belong: Citizenship and National Identity in Britain 1930-1960' (1998). He has written and presented documentaries for the BBC and discusses the nature of modern Britain on productions as diverse as The Today Programme and Richard and Judy.
