Richard Mure ExelbyBorn in Canada in 1949, his family moved to England f when he was an infant. Some of his childhood was spent at Barnardo's (a boy's home, ) where he learnt a lot of Bible, without believing any of it. Much later, he became a Christian and has remaine one since. At UEA he took a B.A in European Studies (History), learning Norwegian and focusing on Scandinavia. In 1973 he settled in Norway where he furthered his education, He took English and a Teaching Certificate at the University of Bergen. He married a Norwegian, and taught at Senior High School level for 33 years. iIn the meantime raised a family and took an Upper Master's Degree earning him the academic title "Lektor".
