Richard D ScheuermanRichard Scheuerman is Seattle Pacific University professor emeritus of education and was raised on the family farm between the rural Palouse Country communities of Endicott and St. John. He graduated from Washington State University in 1973 with degres in history and education and received advanced degrees from the Monterey Defense Language Institute (Russian), Pacific Lutheran University (history), and Gonzaga University (educational leadership). Throughout his thirty-five-year teaching career, Richard consulted with Columbia Plateau tribal elders who contributed to numerous research and writing projects. He has served on the Center for Native American Research and Collaboration Advisory Council at Washington State University and recently received the Northwest Historians Guild Lifetime Achievement Award.
