Richard Chadbourne

Richard Chadbourne took his Ph.D. in French at Yale University and taught at Fordham University and the University of Colorado before coming to the University of Calgary, where he has served as Head of the Department of Romance Studies and s currently Professor of French. The author of two books on Ernest Renan, a forthcoming book on Sainte-Beuve, and numerous papers on other nineteenth-century French writers, he has recently added French- Canadian literature to his research interests, choosing for the moment to focus on Gabrielle Roy.
