Ricardo MaccioniDr, Maccioni is a professor of neurology and Nneurosciences at the University of Chile and Director-General of the International Center fr Biomedicine (ICC). He is known as a world-class scientist, ranked in the top 1% of researchers in the world andwidely recognized by his peers. His investigations allowed to open a new paradigm demonstrating the neuroinflammatory basis of Alzheimer´s disease (Theory of neuroimmunomodulation). This theory has allowed technologies to advance hand in hand with innovative tools that allowed him to generate an innovative biomarker that detect Alzheimers 10 years before its clinical phase. His approach on "multitarget" therapy has opened a novel pathway to Alzheimer treatment using nutraceutical compounds.
