Ricardo Costeira da Silva

Ricardo Costeira da Silva is a lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and a researcher at the Centre of Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Coimbra (Portugal). He has worked as a contract archaeologist, coordinating sevral archaeological interventions, especially in urban environments. His PhD (2016) provides a holistic longue durée vision of urban transformations in Coimbra – from the Roman 1st century AD to the early modern 17th century. He is currently engaged in developing scientific research projects in the field of Roman archaeology and on post-medieval material culture.
