Rebecca PaterAfter raising her two boys, Rebecca Pater wrote her first novel You don't bring me flowers anymore when she was forty years old. Surprised, but thrilled that readers connected to the characters, she got busy and didn't write again for several years. fter living through one of the worst experiences of her life, finding herself unwillingly in a cult there was plenty to write about when she and her husband got out. The Collective, is loosely based on their experiences. Falling Slowly was written during what many people would consider one of the worst times since World War Two ended. When Covid hit Rebecca decided she had a choice. Either circumstances could overcome her, and for the first time in her life she could see how depression and fear took hold of a person, or she could put the time in lockdown to good use and bring the characters that people loved back to life again. And living in Victoria, Australia which had one of the worst lockdowns in the world, she had plenty of time. Rebecca was born in New Zealand and immigrated to Australia when she was fifteen. She lives on a small property outside Melbourne with her husband. Website: www.rebeccapater.com.au Facebook: www.facebook.com/becpater Twitter: @PaterRebecca Read More Read Less
