Ramona BrownWhat is the closet? Well, when I think about my closet, I think about a very compacted cluttered room with a lot of clothes, shoes, belts and other items that are a part of my everyday life! The closet is the one place I never invite people to come i and fellowship. In my closet I have had items that went back from childhood. I remember one day when I came under conviction about how extremely cluttered my closet was, and I needed a deep cleaning. I remember spending days and hours trying to go through all the things that I kept in my closet. Needless to say I opened up a whole lot of memories and began to reminiscence over my life story. I remember coming across letters, journals, and even old receipts that brought tears and laughter to my heart. I remember thinking, "Look where the Lord has brought me from." One day after much thought and meditation on what I experienced, I heard the voice of the Lord speak to my spirit and I began to see something very revealing. The Lord spoke, "Well Ramona, the closet in your home is much like the closet in your soul." What? I asked the question - Lord what do you mean by that statement? The Lord answered, "Exactly what I said - the closet in your home is much like the closet in your soul and I really want to do a deep cleaning and bring out some things that have been buried in your mind for a long time." Wow! How is that going to happen? The Lord gave me this scripture in Revelation 3:19-21; "those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne." That day, I heard the voice of the Lord knocking on the door of my closet (my mind), saying, "let me come in to have fellowship and we can clean out this cluttered mind so that you can have a brand new mind full of life, strength and power to face any situation and circumstance." That was the day I opened up the door of my cluttered mind and allowed God to come in and have fellowship with me. Read More Read Less
