Rajendra AkerkarRajendra Akerkar is the Founder Chairman of the Technomathematics Research Foundation, India. He is also a Senior Scientist at the Western Norway Research Institute, Norway. He received the BOYSCAST (Young Scientist) award of the Department of Scienc & Technology, Government of India in 1997, and was the recipient of the prestigious DAAD fellowship and UNESCO-TWAS Associate in mathematical sciences. Rajendra Akerkar's research and teaching assignments have taken him around the world to Germany, Japan, Norway, Austria, Canada, Vietnam, Spain and Armenia. He is also member of IASTED Technical Committee on Artificial Intelligence & Expert Systems. He is a life member of the Indian Science Congress and the Indian Mathematical Society. Akerkar serves as editor-in-chief of International Journal of Computer Science & Applications and Journal of Hybrid Computing Research, and is on the editorial board of numerous other computer science journals. More than 80 of Akerkar's research papers have been published in reputed national and international journals and he has authored 9 books and edited 4 volumes of international conferences on Artificial Intelligence & Applications of Computer Algebra. His research agenda basically concentrates on learning and natural language - how each works in the human and how they can be replicated in a machine.
