R P ToisterR. P. Toister, Ph.D., is a psychologist and former professor of behavioral sciences at the University of Miami School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics. He has been the Director of the Parent Training Program at the Mailman Center for Child Develoment.He co-edited the textbook Medical Applications of the Behavioral Sciences, a text for medical students. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and in parenting magazines, including Today's Parent and South Florida Parenting.Dr. Toister has presented numerous professional and parenting workshops and appeared on Educational TV as a host and guest authority, advising parents of children with learning and developmental challenges.
