Purvi ShahBorn in Ahmadabad, India, Purvi Shah moved with her family to Chicago, Illinois, around the age of two. She experienced childhood in a number of states including Florida, Georgia, Indiana, and Virginia. She currently lives in New York City and servesas Executive Director of Sakhi for South Asian Women, a community-based anti-domestic violence organization.
