Her maternal clan is Old Orabi Red-Running-In-The-River. She was born for the Towering House clan. Her maternal grandfathr's clan is the Mexican Clan and her paternal grandfather's clan is the Leaf clan. She was born and raised in Shiprock, New Mexico on the Navajo Reservation.
