Praveen K MDr. Praveen K. M. is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Muthoot Institute of Technology & Scince (MITS) Ernakulam, Kerala, India. He pursued his PhD in Materials Engineering at the University of South Brit- tany (Universite ́ deBretagne Sud) - Laboratory IRDL PTR1, Research Center "Christiaan Huygens," in Lorient, France, in the area of coir-based polypropylene micro composites and nanocomposites. He has published an international article in Applied Surface Science (Elsevier), 2 book chapters respectively by Elsevier and Springer Publishers and has also presented poster and conference papers at national and international conferences. Dr.Praveen edited an excellent book on Non-Thermal Plasma Technology for Polymeric Materials: Applications in Composites, Nanostructured Materials, and Biomedical Fields with Elsevier and 6 books with Apple Academic Press, Inc., USA He also has worked with the Jozef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana, Slovenia; Mahatma Gandhi University, India; and the Technical University in Liberec, Czech Republic. He is quite active in academic networking with various research groups around globe and organising technical events in his area of expertise. His current research interests include polymer composites, plasma modification of polymers, polymer composites for neutron shielding applications, and nanocellulose.
