Pj McDermottPJ McDermott was born in Scotland and spent his youth in the town of Paisley, near Glasgow. As a boy he would plunk school and head to the local library to read any book he could get his hands on, especially adventure and science fiction. His favorit authors were Asimov, Herbert, Niven, Moorcock, and Le Guin. The book he most enjoyed was Lord of the Rings by Tolkien. It was the grandest of adventures, exotic locations and magical characters that drew me in. Seriously, I read it at least six times! These days, when he has time to relax (which isn't often, ) he enjoys the work of Robin Hobb, Philip Pullman, George Martin and the modern SF writers, Vaughn Heppner and Alex Weir. The acclaimed semi-biographical, coming-of age novel, Small Fish Big Fish, was PJ's first published work, now re-issued as Caught in the Long Grass The author has also published the 4-book science fiction adventure series Prosperine which includes The Alien Corps, Rise of the Erlachi, The Scarf, and Fractured Prophecy. All are available as e-books or in print, and The Alien Corps and Rise of the Erlachi are also available as an audio book. PJ now lives in Australia with his wife, Sue, two daughters and grandchildren, Mia, Ryder Patrick, and Ethan. You can visit him at his website: pj-mcdermott.com Read More Read Less
