Originally from New York, Pina earned her Undergraduate and Masters Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Boston University. Afternearly a decade in the classroom, Pina realized that it wasn't specifically teaching reading or math that lit her up, it was when she formed authentic relationships with children by helping them feel empowered, believe in themselves and support one another, that she saw lasting change.
